THE STANDARD BEARER FOR BUSINESS EXCELLENCE!

Madam C.J. Walker set the standard of the ideal female entrepreneur.  As the FIRST successful black female executive and self-made millionaire, Madam C.J. Walker's thriving enterprise employed nearly 3,000 workers at its peak.

Her prescription for success was perseverance, hard work, faith in herself and in God, "honest business dealings" and of course, quality products. "There is no royal flower-strewn path to success," she once observed. "And if there is, I have not found it - for if I have accomplished anything in life it is because I have been willing to work hard."

Today more than ever, women of color are making great strides in business and are achieving higher heights.  Hard work and preserverance has stood the test of time and is STILL the formula for business sucess in the new millennium.

This award, established by the MWIB Magazine is dedicated to the memory of Madam C.J. Walker and is presented to women who exemplify her entrepreneurial spirit and focus on the achievement of business success.

If you have the drive, ambition, and entrepreneurial spirit that was the hallmark of Madam C.J. Walker, we urge you to apply for this award!

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2010 Madam C.J. Walker Award for Outstanding Business Achievement.

DEADLINE FOR APPLYING IS JUNE 30, 2010
