Names Davis Vp, Corporate Communications
AstraZeneca announced the appointment of Lisa R. Davis
to the position of Vice President, Corporate Communications. In her new
position, Davis will be based in AstraZeneca’s U.S. headquarters in
Wilmington, Del., and will be responsible for overseeing all internal and
external corporate communications on behalf of AstraZeneca in the U.S.

David Nicoli, Vice President, Corporate Affairs for AstraZeneca U.S.

Davis most
recently served as the head of Public Relations and Communications for AARP,
the nation’s largest organization for people aged 50+. Prior to joining AARP,
she was the National Deputy Press Secretary for the Clinton/Gore ’96
Re-election Campaign. From 1993-1996, Davis served as the Press Secretary for
the Democratic Leadership Council and its associated think tank, the
Progressive Policy Institute, where she was responsible for all public
relations activities. Davis holds Masters Degrees in Business Administration
and in Public Administration from Howard University, Washington, DC, and a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications Studies from the University of North
Carolina at Greensboro. Davis was also recently a Fellow at Harvard
University’s Institute of Politics.
